I was born in Erzincan, where I also completed my primary, middle, and high school education. When I passed the university entrance exam in 2002, I hadn’t even met a dietitian before. When people asked me which program I had been accepted to, I would reply, “Erciyes University, Nutrition and Dietetics.” Most people didn’t understand what it meant, and when they asked, “What will you do?” my answer was, “I will regulate people’s diets.”

But all I got in return were blank stares.

To be honest, even my father didn’t understand my profession at that time. Don’t be fooled by its current popularity; back then, hardly anyone knew about it. This journey brought me to Kayseri, and now it has been 20 years, and I’m still here. By the time I was in my third year, I had already started working as a dietitian.

While I was still a student, I worked as a dietitian at the restaurant of the university’s Sabancı Cultural Center. Later, I planned personalized diets for every member at the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Women’s Sports Center as their first dietitian. Then, I continued my journey at So-ep Beauty Center.

Immediately after graduating, I got a call from Güneş Hospital inviting me to join their team. I worked there with great pleasure, but then my baby girl, Zeynep, came into my life. The only way I could work and be with my baby was to open my own clinic. In 2011, I founded the Rabia Özaslan Diet Clinic, and we’ve been providing service for 11 years now.
